The British Cichlid Association (BCA) is an organization dedicated to the study, care, and enjoyment of cichlids, a diverse and fascinating group of fish. For hobbyists and enthusiasts, joining the BCA offers a multitude of benefits that enhance their experience and knowledge of cichlid keeping. You can access much of the site for free but you must be a Full Member to access our members-only section. A Full Membership is only £6 and provides many valuable benefits, such as our quarterly periodical Cichlidae, an online library of more than100 past publications, Retail discounts and an online sales and trading page.
The small yearly membership dues go to maintaining this site and our yearly events. Details are found on the Full Membership Benefits menu tab and below. - Future Conventions and Shows: Conventions bring together members from across the country, featuring guest speakers, fish shows, and workshops. One it is established that there is again sufficient support for an autumn convention we’ll hold one. Until then, join us online!

- Promotion of the Hobby The BCA works to promote and grow the cichlid-keeping hobby, ensuring its vibrancy for future generations.
